Environmental street
Not everything is allowed or fits into a wheelie bin or underground container. Therefore, as a resident of the municipality of Nuenen, you can take your waste to the environmental street. There it is collected separately in large containers.
The environmental street is intended for residents of the municipality of Nuenen. Companies cannot come here. When handing in waste, you must show your environmental pass for inspection.

Waste you can bring
The Blink website will tell you exactly what you can bring to the environmental site.
Individuals
The waste disposal site in Nuenen is intended exclusively for waste from private households in Nuenen. If you live in another municipality, please inquire with your municipality where you can go for your waste.
Companies
Businesses are not allowed to bring their waste to the environmental street. They are responsible for their own business waste.
The course of your visit
- At the entrance, a staff member from the environmental site will check the type/quantity of waste you bring.
- The clerk will also check your environmental card.
- The clerk bases the amount you must pay on this.
- The municipality records your visits with your environmental pass because there are different access fees.
Out of hours (bring corner)
Residents of the municipality of Nuenen can visit the free delivery corner for various types of waste. You can come here outside the opening hours of the environmental street. The free delivery corner is an extra service only for private households in Nuenen and not for companies.
Access to the free bring corner
The free drop-off corner is equipped with an access gate with a lock. You can open the gate using your environmental pass. We register your visit to the drop-off centre, but you do not pay for it.
The municipality decided to do this because the free drop-off centre was frequently visited by companies or people living outside Nuenen. It would be a shame if this service could not be maintained.
Allowed in the free bring corner
Waste streams you can dispose of free of charge at the free bring corner or environmental street:
- small electrical appliances, such as batteries and light bulbs
- glass
- paper and cardboard (please flatten large boxes so that the roller container is not immediately full)
- greases and oils (max 10 liters)
- plastic, metal and beverage cartons (PMD)
- textiles and footwear (deliver textiles in bags, not loose or in boxes!)
- diapers and incontinence materials
- metal and batteries
- packaging foam (pure packaging foam)
The free drop-off corner is only intended for these free waste streams. Unfortunately, far too often we also find other contaminated materials here. We ask you to take this into account.
Not allowed in the free bring corner
Please note that garden, pruning and leaf waste cannot be taken away to the free bring corner. Do you have garden, pruning and leaf waste? You can take it to the waste disposal area free of charge during opening hours. If you bring grass, you can only bring cut grass free of charge (no turf).
Mobile waste disposal unit (GRIP truck)
Are you unable to come to the recycling center with the items you would like to get rid of? Then you can also dispose of it at the GRIP truck. Several times a year the GRIP truck makes a stopover at various locations in Nuenen. To find out when, see our web page on the mobile waste disposal unit.
