Environmental Quality Advisory Committee
The Environmental Quality Advisory Committee consists of independent experts in the fields of architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, public space design, housing quality, sustainability, cultural history and historic preservation. The Advisory Committee meets only when an integral assessment of plans is desired.
The Environmental Quality Advisory Committee is divided into the Spatial Quality Subcommittee, the Heritage Subcommittee and a Village Master Builder. The recommendations of the committee, the subcommittees and the village master builder are carefully prepared with the aim of bringing and maintaining Nuenen's spatial quality to a high level.
Members Spatial Quality Subcommittee
The Spatial Quality Subcommittee gives advice on new building plans, remodeling plans and how the surroundings should look. The Spatial Quality Subcommittee consists of three substantive specialists, the village master builder, an independent chairman and an official secretary. The members each have their own expertise and look at (re)building and development plans from their different disciplines. These plans are submitted to the municipality for approval by, for example, developers or private initiators.
Currently, the spatial quality subcommittee consists of the following participants:
- Veronique Marks (chairman)
- Sander Klein Obbink (urban planner)
- Branka Vuksanovic (architect)
- Harrie van Helmond (village master builder/architect)
- Jean-Sebert van der Doelen (official secretary)
Members Heritage subcommittee
The Heritage subcommittee advises on plans involving heritage and (national) monuments. The Heritage subcommittee consists of one substantive specialist, the village master builder, an independent chairman and an official secretary. The committee advises on the value of cultural history in building, renovation and development plans. These plans are submitted to the municipality for approval by, for example, developers or private initiators.
Currently, the heritage subcommittee consists of the following participants:
- Veronique Marks (chairman)
- Liz Dewitte (architectural historian)
- Harrie van Helmond (village master builder/architect)
- Miranda Stolk (official secretary)
Village master builder - Welfare
The village master builder gives advice on how structures should look, in accordance with the recommendations of the subcommittees. The village master builder is a member of both subcommittees. The village master builder directly advises individuals and developers in the broadest sense of environmental quality, but primarily in terms of architecture and appearance.
Currently, the role of village master builder is filled by:
- Harrie van Helmond (village master builder/architect)
Meeting dates and agenda
The Spatial Quality Subcommittee meets every two weeks. The Heritage subcommittee meets once a month prior to or, when necessary, at the same time as the Spatial Quality subcommittee. The Village Architect advises on an on-call basis. He does this in addition to his regular review related to welfare, which occurs once every two weeks.
About a week before the meeting it is decided whether the meeting will go ahead. If there are no items to discuss, the meeting does not go ahead. When the (public) agenda for the next meeting is known, it will be published below.
Minutes of public meetings of the committee and subcommittees can be requested. An appointment will then be made with you to explain them.
