Saturday, March 19 - Together against litter in Nuenen
During the national clean-up day, volunteers throughout the Netherlands collect litter. It is a beautiful and effective action in which residents together make their immediate surroundings a little cleaner. Nuenen c.a. is also participating again this year. Neighborhood associations, village councils and volunteer groups, among others, will set out that day.
The Municipality helps
The municipality of Nuenen supports the initiatives by offering a package of gloves, safety vests, garbage grabbers and garbage bags. The materials are brought and picked up by the municipality at an agreed location. In addition to the many individual "zappers," there are also some organized neighborhoods that are getting started.
- Nuenen Clean volunteer group
In Nuenen, the Nuenen Schoon volunteer group, among others, makes regular efforts to keep Nuenen litter-free. They will start Saturday at 9:45 a.m. in Nuenen's park near the Kiosk. - Neighborhood Association Panakkers
Participants from neighborhood association Panakkers will start at 10 a.m. on Sophiastraat. - André van de Maat Day Gerwen
In the footsteps of streetcomber André van der Maat, the WLG together with the village council is organizing this day. Between 13.00 and 13.30 everyone can gather at the kiosk in Gerwen. The children of the Heuvelrijk elementary school will make a start on March 18 by already cleaning the area around the school together. - Village Council Nederwetten
In Nederwetten, volunteers meet at Koppeldreef at 1 p.m.
Will you also participate?
Feel free to join one of the organized initiatives! But cleaning up can be done anywhere in the municipality, in your own street the playground or the park nearby. It doesn't have to be a big action. An hour of picking up litter together can already visibly clean up the neighborhood because many hands make light work.
