Five ribbons during the 2022 Ribbon Race
Five people in the municipality of Nuenen will receive a ribbon during the 2022 ribbon-cutting ceremony. Mayor Maarten Houben visited three addresses today, April 26, to present them. He called one couple this morning because they are on vacation abroad. They will receive their ribbons at a later date. Curious about how the presentation went? Mr. J.H. (Joop) Scholing (76 years) - Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau
Until his retirement in 2003, Decorandus was employed by Philips as vice president of HRM and was also an active volunteer at:
- Tennis Association Wettenseind: From 1988 to 1998 member and chairman of the technical committee. He supervised the modernization of the pavilion and the transition from gravel to synthetic courts. From 2006 to 2008 he was president and from 2008 to 2018 vice president and treasurer for 3 years.
- Federation of Philips Vereniging Gepensioneerden (FPVG) 10 years board member. And 11 years board member Philips Pensioenfonds. And since 2019 chairman PVGE Nuenen and also board member of the umbrella PVGE Eindhoven e.o.
- WMO Council Nuenen 8 years vice chair, contributed to transition to current Social Domain Advisory Council

Mrs. H.F. (Heleen) van der Horst-Brons (52 years)- Member in the Order of Orange-Nassau
Decoranda works as a pharmacist and also actively volunteers at:
- Badgerburg Elementary School from 2005 to the present. She was a member of the parents' association for 7 years, as well as an auxiliary parent at the school library, craft parent and activity facilitator.
- Neighborhood Association Around Andries Square from 2005 to the present. She organizes activities and knows how to enthuse neighbors to participate. Her ideas for a safe celebration of King's Day during the corona crisis in her street in 2020 was followed up in other neighborhoods the following year. She initiated the annual St. Martin's Day parade.
- Village Farm Weverkeshof from 2018 to the present. She has been a board member and secretary since 2021. She also makes the digital rosters for the hostesses and hosts. She is also active in organizing the Sinterklaas event.
- She co-founded women's carnival group The Importantes in 2010. She is often helpful to neighbors and fellow villagers.

Mr. H. (Ted) Warmerdam (77 years) - Member in the Order of Orange-Nassau
Decorandus engaged in the following activities:
- Volunteer for more than 50 years (1971-present) with the FNV Tax Department South Netherlands. He is coordinator and instructor. He is administrator of the online appointment system and budget holder and he is a specialist Belgian tax return.
- RKSV Nuenen - From 2008 to 2014 vice president. He was also a board member of the supporters club and a member of the savings fund. In addition, he was a member of the Seniors Committee and match secretary.
- Sint Annagilde Nuenen-dorp, 10 years secretary from 2011 to present.
- Seniors Association Senergiek from 2016 volunteer as an activity leader and liaison. He organizes the weekly card afternoons.

Mrs. B.T. (Gitta) van der Meeren-van Ebskamp (68 years) - Member in the Order of Orange-Nassau
- Decoranda has been a volunteer at the Universidade Católica de Mozambique in Beira since 2006. She was a guest lecturer in microbiology. She taught at her own expense in developing countries.
- From 2006 to the present, she has been a volunteer with and co-founder of the Doctors for Mozambique Foundation. This foundation is dedicated to training poor, yet promising young people to become doctors and nurses.

Mr. Dr. H.L.M. (Harrie) van der Meeren (70 years) - Member in the Order of Orange-Nassau
Decorandus worked as a dermatologist at the Maxima Medical Center in Eindhoven until retirement in 2013. He engaged in the following activities:
- From 2000 to 2008, member of the Dutch Working Group on Tropical Dermatology. He was a voluntary guest lecturer in dermatology at universities in several countries in Africa. He taught during his vacation at his own expense in developing countries including from 2003 at the Universidade Católica de Mozambique in Beira.
- From 2008 to the present, he has been a volunteer and founder, along with his wife, of the Doctors for Mozambique Foundation.
