If you do not yet wish to apply for a formal permit but would like to have the feasibility of your plan examined, you can submit a request in principle. We will then check for you whether what you want meets the rules of the environmental plan and, if necessary, the aesthetics requirements. You cannot derive any rights from a request in principle and a request in principle is public just like an environmental permit.

What does it cost?
Simple and complex request in principle
Besides a simple principle request, it is also possible to make a complex principle request. A complex request in principle is submitted when the proposed project involves more than the erection of a dwelling.
Costs of requests in principle
A simple principle request costs €186.80 and a complex principle request €594. This amount is deducted from the fees for the environmental permit, if you submit it later.
The fee for a welstand assessment is € 172.10 each time. A review by the urban development committee is not a standard part of dealing with a request for principle. If you wish, after joint consultation, a plan can still be submitted to the external appearance committee. Additional fees will then be charged.
