New procurement cooperation for youth: a 10 for youth!

This is an old post.

The municipality of Helmond, the Peel municipalities (Deurne, Someren, Asten, Gemert-Bakel and Laarbeek) and Dommelvallei + (Nuenen, Son en Beugel, Waalre and Geldrop-Mierlo) form a new purchasing region for the procurement of youth aid, called: A 10 for youth! The goal? To make the difference for young people and families.

Good cooperation is key to good youth services

Cooperation between municipalities is necessary; this is why the Youth Act also identified the need for this. By working together, the ten municipalities guarantee the quality and continuity of Health to children who need youth assistance. This cooperation also ensures that they can offer even more customization to their residents. In order to jointly make a difference for residents, the procurement strategy focuses on four principles: appropriate help, timely help, quality and affordability.

Successful: intensive collaboration with healthcare providers

Different target groups within youth services require different approaches. Every family or child needs something different. Therefore, different collaborations with care providers are also needed. Whatever cooperation there is, this always requires a continuous dialogue between the different parties. Each with their own interests and concerns. All ten municipalities in the new purchasing region consider this very important, and with this new cooperation they are investing in it. And that pays off: care providers feel heard and appreciate the cooperation. The work is based on 'the intention', in which assistance to the child and family is central.

The cooperation 10 for youth stands! In the coming period the procurement strategy will be further developed, together with the care providers. So that all parties together can efficiently provide quality and appropriate Health to the residents.
