General Board Chairman Hans Gaillard: "Jacqueline has proven herself with her years of experience as a manager in a municipal environment. She therefore also knows the administrative and political playing field of the organization. She has given direction within the municipality of Gennep in putting the business operations in order and realizing a flexible agile organization. We are confident that by appointing Jacqueline we have attracted a sound sparring partner for the General and Executive Boards. We look forward to a pleasant collaboration."

Jacqueline Nijland: "During the discussions, I encountered an enthusiastic group of people, who from the Dommelvallei Service and from the three municipalities strive for the best for those three municipalities. They make me want to contribute to this from my role. After all, people make the difference. With that in mind, together with all employees, I will look for opportunities to improve our services step by step."

Until March 1, the position of general manager will be held by interim director Harry Meeuwsen.
