The City Council adopted the Emmahof zoning plan on Oct. 17, 2024. With this, the municipality is enabling a building plan for 12 senior housing units on Emma Street. The development of this location is a long-held desire of many. 

Alderman Patrick Kok: "Although this is a smaller housing project, the situation in the housing market is still such that every additional home is important, especially when it comes to homes for seniors. There is a good plan that fits into the environment and has been carefully crafted. Now on to realization."
