It is now possible to apply for electricity connections in advance and to receive priority for housing projects
Due to grid congestion, as of July 1, 2026, there is no longer a guarantee that housing development projects will receive an electricity connection (transmission capacity). All applications will be placed on a waiting list at Enexis.
Municipalities have the option to apply earlier for utility connections for housing projects whose construction is set to begin within 10 years. This allows these projects to be placed on the waiting list sooner. Priority can be requested for projects expected to be completed within 10 years.
Housing development projects that wish to apply early and (if applicable) be considered for priority must be submitted to the municipality no later than August 31, 2026. Projects that are already known to the municipality must also be submitted.
