The College of Mayor and Aldermen (B&W) is the daily administration of the municipality. The municipal council appoints the aldermen. 

The municipal executive enforces laws and is responsible for preparing and implementing council proposals and decisions. The mayor and aldermen have divided their responsibilities among themselves: this is known as the portfolio allocation. The portfolio allocation is outlined below. They meet every Tuesday. These meetings are not open to the public, but a list of decisions is made public after each meeting. 

Regulations Governing the Replacement of Aldermen

  • Alderman for Alderman Affairs will be replaced by Alderman and the Economy
  • Alderman and the Economy will be replaced by Alderman Development
  • Alderman Development will be replaced by Alderman
  • Alderman will be replaced by Alderman Services

  • 1st Deputy Mayor: Alderman . Walravens
  • 2nd Deputy Mayor: Alderman .C.W. Vrijnsen – de Corte
  • 3rd Deputy Mayor: Alderman .W. van Dalen
