Influence politics

Every resident of the municipality of Nuenen c.a. aged 18 and older may elect members of the municipal council during the municipal elections. The elected council members make decisions on issues affecting the municipality of Nuenen. So with your vote you are already exerting influence on politics. Are you missing a topic? Or would you like to share your knowledge with the council? If so, there are various possibilities:
 

1. Approach a council member or group at https://nuenen.raadsinformatie.nl/leden.
2. Write a letter to the City Council at the postal, visiting or mail addresses listed below.
3. Speak at an image-forming or judgmental meeting.
4. Become a member of a political party.
5. Submit your idea through a citizens' initiative.

Are you a resident of Nuenen municipality and 16 years of age or older? Do you have an idea or plan for our municipality on which the municipal council should make a decision? Through the citizens' initiative you can have a topic placed on the council's agenda and thus contribute to the future of Nuenen.

What to do.

The Clerk's Office is available to advise you in preparing your proposal. Contact the Municipal Clerk’s Office s Office at Municipal Clerk’s Office Request a citizen initiative form from the Municipal Clerk’s Offices Office. Submit a developed proposal, including an estimate of costs and a plan for implementation. You will need a minimum of 75 signatures from Nuenen residents who support your idea.
