Sometimes the municipality plans to make a decision or adopt a plan that you may not agree with. You can then express your opinion. This opinion is called an opinion. You can submit your view, for example, if the municipality intends to reject a decision you have requested or publishes the intention to change the environmental plan.
You can only submit an opinion about draft decisions and draft plans on which no decision has yet been made. The municipality announces proposed plans or decisions via the Municipal Gazette and/or the website and/or door-to-door newspapers and/or a letter addressed to you.
At the views stage, the municipality can still adjust the decision. So the municipality may adopt your opinion in the final decision. But it doesn't have to. Several people may be affected by the plan or decision. This may involve opposing interests, but the municipality must also look at the general interest and then make a decision.
