Residential Care Vision
The Nuenen Municipal Council adopted a Residential Care Vision in October 2024. This Woonzorgvisie is the starting point for addressing the residential care challenges in the municipality of Nuenen. The vision shows what is additionally needed to properly house people with special housing needs or care requirements (such as the elderly). We also indicate the ambitions and goals we want to set for this in the areas of housing, society and Health.
For the vision, in 2022 and early 2023 we gathered from various Nuenen (elderly) organizations, representatives of special target groups and the Social Domain Advisory Council what they consider important for the Residential Care Vision.
Parts Residential Care Vision
The final vision has two parts: a survey and a vision.
Woonzorganalyse
For the preparation of a Residential Care Vision, the first step was to examine what our current supply and demand is in terms of living and working and how it will develop in the future. This shows what tasks we have in Nuenen.

Vision
With the research completed, we could get down to visioning. How do we ensure an appropriate supply in the future for the changing demand for Health and housing? And if we want to achieve this goal, what should we do (more or less) as a municipality in the coming years?

Participation
The Residential Care Vision came about through participation with social organizations in Nuenen. They were represented in a sounding board group. These included care providers, organizations for the elderly and Woningstichting Helpt Elkander, for example. Special target groups - such as young people with disabilities - also had our attention during this process.
