Surcharge affair
Do you need help with a fresh start?
The Internal Revenue Service has reclaimed child care allowance from many parents/caregivers. This was not always correct. As a result, many parents/caregivers, ex-partners and children are in trouble. They have a lot of stress and live in uncertainty. Has this happened to you? We would like to help you make a fresh start. You can get help in different ways. That is why it is called 'broad support'. Exactly what help you need is up to you, in consultation with us.
How do you get help?
Please contact Marianne Weusten. You can reach her on Mondays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.:
Phone: 06 14 93 25 33

- Marianne will make an appointment with you for an introductory meeting. At the town hall or at your home. You may, of course, invite someone to attend.
- The interview is non-binding. You decide whether to take advantage of the offer.
- It does not matter how high your income is. You also do not have to prove your income before the introduction.
- You will make a plan together with Marianne. We call this a plan of action. This plan contains goals to work on your recovery and what you need to make a fresh start. It also contains agreements about the help you will receive. The action plan is yours to keep. This way you can read everything again at your leisure.
- You get the help for as long as you need to achieve the goals outlined in the action plan.
- The help you receive is free.
Marianne has had many conversations with parents and children. She knows how to get you the best help. She takes the time for you and likes to think with you. She tries to answer all your questions.

Recovery scheme for ex-payment partners
Since July 2023, there is also a recovery scheme for ex-settlement partners of aggrieved parents. From September 2023, the first ex-surcharge partners known to the Tax Administration will receive a letter to apply for this scheme. You do not have to do anything for this.
Parents who do not meet the Requirements or are not known to the IRS will not receive an application letter. If you have not yet received a letter and you think you should be eligible, you can apply yourself for the ex-granting partner program. You can apply from December 4, 2024 through June 3, 2025. You can check with Uitvoeringsorganisatie Herstel Toeslagen (UHT) to see if the scheme is for you and apply yourself.
The ex-payment partner arrangement consists of:
- A compensation amount of €10,000
- Broad support from your congregation
- Help with your debts
- Damage Assistance
You can read more about the scheme for ex-surcharge partners on the website of UHT (Implementing Organization Recovery Benefits) .
