Applying for grants
What is it?
Nuenen has a thriving club life. The municipality grants subsidies to about 50 associations annually.
What can you apply for a grant for
- Arts and culture: residents can actively and/or passively participate in arts, culture and adult education
- Youth: enabling youthful residents to grow up to become mature and full members of society
- Self-reliance: improving through collective facilities the opportunities for our residents to participate in society
- Individual facilities Wmo: individually compensating by providing facilities to our residents who are limited in their self-reliance, to enable them to participate in society as fully as possible
- Health care: maintaining and improving public health
- Sport: promoting healthy and active lifestyles and promoting social cohesion through sport and exercise
- Work and income: benefit recipients at work
- Assistance: to provide residents who are unable or inadequately able to provide for themselves an income at the statutory subsistence level
- Minima: minimum policy is aimed at income support and social participation of low-income citizens. The starting point is that if existing income support schemes do not provide an appropriate solution, customization is provided in individual cases
- Aliens: comply with statutory civic integration, housing and enforcement requirements
What to do.
Apply for a one-time grant
A legal entity or legal entity in formation that organizes a one-time activity for Nuenen residents may qualify for a one-time grant.
The college may grant incidental applications that:
- are intended as so-called appreciation grants (below €500.00). These are grants that are too small to warrant a formal procedure, but are nevertheless eligible for award given the application rounds;
- were submitted after the formal application deadline, known as contingency applications;
- provide for emergencies.
You can apply for a one-time grant throughout the year.
Requirements and evaluation criteria one-time grant
Any organization that meets the set Requirements and whose activities fit into the policies pursued is eligible for a one-time grant. The application requirements are included in the General Subsidy Ordinance municipality Nuenen c.a.2016.
The following criteria apply when reviewing an application for a one-time grant:
- grant is additional
- grant for and by Nuenen residents
- up to €5,000, half own funding
- no commercial activities
Only fully completed applications, with all required information and documentation, will be considered. Applications will be processed in order of receipt.

Grant justification
The letter you receive will describe how you are required to account for the grant. You can submit the form to account for a grant online. If you go through the steps, you will know what you need to comply with. Of course, if you have any questions, you can always contact us.
If your organization does not receive a grant and you think your organization may be eligible, please make an Make an appointment. During this meeting, the municipality will review with you whether your organization meets the grant requirements and whether the activities fit within the grant policy. You will also receive information on how to apply for a grant and what information to submit.
Who can apply for a grant
Any organization that meets the set Requirements and whose activities fit into the policies pursued is eligible for a grant. The grant requirements are contained in the General Grant Regulation.
