Grant for innovative companies (SIR 2023).

To support the innovative capacity of the Brabant business community in these challenging times of increasing personnel shortages and commodity prices, the Province of North Brabant has established the SIR scheme. SIR stands for Stimulation of Innovation in the Region. On Feb. 1, 2023, the scheme opened for the second time. Starting in 2023, the Southeast Brabant region may also participate in this scheme for the first time.

For SMEs and innovative startups in Southeast Brabant

This Stimulating Innovation in the Region scheme aims to lower the threshold to innovate and is intended for SMEs and innovative startups in a wide range of economic sectors in the Southeast Brabant region.

Companies can apply for funding for the development of innovative products, services and production processes that offer solutions to societal challenges such as climate change, mobility and making the food chain more sustainable. These are innovation initiatives by both established SME entrepreneurs and innovative startups in the earliest stages of development. In this way, the SIR offers new perspectives to precisely these companies.

Grant amounts

The grant rate for existing companies is 40% of eligible costs up to a maximum of €45,000. For innovative startups, it is 50% with a maximum grant amount of €15,000.
