Study allowance

Are you studying and unable to work due to an illness or disability? And you also do not have Wajong benefit? Then you may be able to get extra money for your study costs.

Requirements

  • You live in the municipality of Nuenen.
  • You receive study financing (WSF 2000) or an allowance for study costs (WTOS).
  • You do not receive Wajong benefits or lifetime learning credit.
  • You are unable to work alongside your studies due to your disability or illness and therefore have no income from work.
  • Your study allowance is a maximum of € 221,85 per month. Please note that anything above € 221,85 will be deducted by the municipality from your study allowance.

Applying for scholarship

Contact us to apply for study allowance. 

You will need the following documents with your application: 

  • Copy of letter granting study financing and/or WTOS.
  • Copy of bank card.
  • Copy proof of enrollment training.
  • Internship agreement stating how much internship stipend you will receive.
  • Evidence showing that your disability prevents you from working alongside your studies. If you do not have this evidence, we may have your application evaluated by an independent labor expert. We will then let you know.

Level of study allowance 

We do not look at your assets when assessing your application. The amount of your allowance depends on your age.
