Railway construction between Eindhoven and Helmond: railroad crossing in Nuenen temporarily closed

ProRail will be working on the tracks between Eindhoven and Helmond from 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20. The work involves track renewal between Hofstraat in Eindhoven and Pastoor Verbeekstraat in Helmond. The work may cause some disruption in the surrounding area. 

During the construction work, a number of railroad crossings in Nuenen will be temporarily closed to all traffic. Detour routes will be marked with yellow signs. Local residents will also receive a letter from ProRail regarding this.

Railroad Crossing Barriers in Nuenen

  • Eeneind Level Crossing: from 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 12, to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13 
  • Collse Hoefdijk Overpass: from 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, to 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 19 
  • Schoutse Vennen Crossing: from 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, to 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 19 

ProRail will also be temporarily storing construction materials near the Schoutse Vennen in Nuenen. This will take place from 4:00 a.m. on Monday, July 1, through 9:00 p.m. on Monday, July 29. Afterward, ProRail will clear everything away and restore the site to its original condition.
