Parking in the blue zone
Directly arrange
What is it?
A blue zone is in effect in the center of Nuenen. Each parking space in this area is marked with a blue line. You may park with a parking disc in the parking spaces in the blue zone (parking disc zone). This applies only to motor vehicles on more than 2 wheels. The parking disc must be clearly visible behind the windshield. Drivers with a disabled parking permit (GPK) do not have to use the parking disc.
You can recognize the parking disc zone by the traffic sign. This sign states the maximum parking time of 2 hours and when the blue zone applies. In Nuenen the blue zone applies from Monday to Saturday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, and on shopping nights until 9:00 pm. You can apply for an exemption when you meet the specified Requirements .

Requirements
As a resident, you are eligible for a waiver if you meet the following Requirements:
- You live, and are registered, at an address within the blue zone.
- You own the car(s) for which you are requesting the waiver. It is necessary that you provide a registered vehicle registration certificate and/or lease agreement for each car.
- You have no or at most 1 parking space at the property.
The municipality tests whether you meet the Requirements based on the Basic Registration of Persons, the data provided and our own records on parking at the property.
The following principles apply to waivers:
- The waiver is valid for 2 calendar years, after which it must be renewed
- The waiver applies only on your own street. If there are no public parking spaces on your street, your waiver applies to an adjacent street.
- We issue a maximum of 2 waivers per household, this depends on the number of parking spaces at the residence.
- For each parking space at the residence, 1 less waiver will be issued, that is:
- If you do not have parking at the residence, you can apply for up to 2 waivers.
- If you have one parking space at the residence, you can request a maximum of 1 waiver.
- If you have two or more parking spaces at the residence, you do not qualify for a waiver.
- If desired, it is possible to provide an exemption with 2 license plates. This gives you the opportunity to choose which car to park in the blue zone and which car to park in parking spaces near the home or outside the blue zone.
What to do.
If you meet the Requirements you can arrange an exemption (application, modification, renewal) online.
You will also need a digital copy of a copy of your registration certificate.
What does it cost?
A waiver is free of charge.
