Parent Night on Respect with Steven Pont

What does respect really mean? And how can you teach your child to treat others with respect? On Tuesday, November 10, 2026, the Oudercafé is hosting a free session on respect. Developmental psychologist Steven Pont will guide parents through this topic and offer practical insights for parenting.

Respect Within the Family

“Have you ever heard your child say, ‘Show some respect!’?” Maybe you use those words yourself sometimes. But what exactly does respect mean? And how can you address this within your family?

During this session, developmental psychologist Steven Pont will discuss respect and the role it plays in parenting. His presentation will be followed by a panel discussion featuring a variety of experiences and insights. This will help bridge the gap between theory and practice.

The meeting is intended for parents of children in (pre)puberty.
