Keep your dog on a leash during breeding season

In the municipality of Nuenen, dogs must be kept on a leash when being walked. Dogs may only run free in designated off-leash areas. We ask that you pay extra attention to this, as the breeding season has begun again.

From around March to July, birds and other animals need peace and quiet to raise their young. Dogs running loose can startle animals or disturb nests. This sometimes happens without the owner even noticing. By keeping your dog on a leash, you help protect nature. You also prevent disturbances for other residents.

In the coming period, the municipality’s enforcement officers will be conducting additional checks in this area. They will be doing so in collaboration with the enforcement officers fromSamen Sterk in Brabant. Any violations detected may result in a fine without prior warning.
