Tree felling

What is it?
If you want to cut down, transplant or substantially prune one or more trees, you sometimes need an environmental permit from the municipality.
Advice: consult with neighbors if they have problems with cutting down the tree.
What to do.
Through the omgevingsloket you can arrange your environmental permit online. For this you need DigiD (individuals) or eHerkenning (companies). If you do not yet have a DigiD, you can apply for one via DigiD. You can apply for an eRecognition via eRecognition.

Objecting
Do you disagree with the municipality's decision? Then you can file an objection with the municipality within 6 weeks.
Felling notice
To cut down trees covered by the Nature Protection Act, you must file a felling notification. These include trees outside built-up areas. Get more information from the Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland.
