Exploratory Council Meetings on October 1 and 8

The meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. in the council chamber of Het Klooster Temporalis (De Pinckart 24, Nuenen). Residents are welcome to attend from the public gallery.

Thursday, October 1

  • Development Strategy for Gerwen and Nederwetten
    The council will be briefed on the current status of spatial development in Gerwen and Nederwetten.
    Meeting type: Informational; you are welcome to attend as a member of the public.
  • Reorientation of the “Liveable and Accessible Nuenen” (VKA Bundelroutes) Projects
    Meeting type: Informative and advisory; you are welcome to attend as an observer.

  • Budget Type of meeting: Informational; you are welcome to attend as an observer.

Thursday, October 8

  • Presentation on the Current Status of the
    Asylum Seeker Center Type of meeting: Informational; you are welcome to attend as an observer.

  • Event Vision and Policy This evening will focus on the event vision. You will learn about how the vision was developed and the participatory process that took place, and we will look ahead to the next steps.
    Meeting type: exploratory; you can register to speak. 

  • Housing Policy This informational meeting will focus on the draft housing policy for 2026 and beyond. The council will be briefed on the details of the previously adopted guiding principles and will discuss the most important policy decisions.
    Meeting type: Advisory; you are welcome to attend as an observer.

What does "informative" mean?

During an informational meeting, the city council receives an explanation and background information from the executive committee on a particular topic. The purpose of the meeting is to take note of the information. No decisions are made at this stage.

What does “image-forming” mean?

During an informational meeting, the city council will gain a clear understanding of the current situation and future plans. Interested members of the public are welcome to attend and can participate in the discussion on this topic.

What does “advisory” mean?

During a consultative meeting, the executive board gauges the council’s views on a policy issue or a potential solution. For example, in the run-up to a council proposal or regarding a matter on which the executive board has the authority to decide.

The council will present a number of questions, some of which may include multiple-choice options. Council members and citizens in attendance will be asked to respond. Interested parties may attend as members of the public.
