The Social Domain Advisory Council (ASD) has informed the college that they are stepping down as of Nov. 1, 2024.
The ASD has always provided the municipality of Nuenen with valuable and sometimes critical advice. We appreciate the involvement, commitment and cooperation with the ASD.
On Oct. 10, 2024, we officially said goodbye to the ASD at its last meeting.
In the coming period, we will seek advice from stakeholders and "residents with experience," as we did with the residential care vision and the policy framework "Equal in Opportunity, Different in Attention.
In doing so, we ensure that we keep residents involved.
In the first quarter of next year, we will present a new structure of participation within the social domain to the City Council.
A municipality has many responsibilities in the social domain. Think for example of tasks in the field of (youthHealth, work and income, housing and welfare. In order to promote integrated and balanced development of municipal policy within the social domain, the municipality has established a Social Domain Advisory Council (ASD).
Tasks ASD
The ASD advises the municipal executive by providing solicited and unsolicited advice on developments and municipal policies within the social domain.

Meetings and agenda ASD
The members of the ASD basically meet every month. The meetings are usually open to the public. If you want to know when the ASD meets, check the meeting dates. Composition ASD
Members of the Social Domain Advisory Council are residents of the municipality of Nuenen. They think about what is going well in our municipality, how we can preserve that good, what could/should be better and how we can achieve that. They are appointed on the basis of their personal qualities and do their work in freedom and independence.
