Residential care vision adopted
The Nuenen City Council adopted the residential care vision for Nuenen on Oct. 17. The residential care vision forms the starting point for tackling the residential care challenges in Nuenen municipality. The vision sets out what is additionally needed to properly accommodate people with special housing needs or care requirements (such as the elderly). We also indicate what ambitions we have and what goals we want to set for this in the areas of housing, society and Health.
Sounding board group contributed to residential care vision
The residential care vision was drawn up in cooperation with experts from consultancy firm Companen and social organizations in Nuenen. Among others, care providers, elderly organizations and housing association Helpt Elkander were active in the sounding board group. Special target groups, such as young people with disabilities, also had our attention. Alderman Patrick Kok expressed satisfaction: "We have a result that Nuenen can be proud of. The vision will be an important document for the coming years and clearly outlines the spearheads in the areas of housing and Health . It is the result of a process in which stakeholders felt involved. Now on to implementation."
