At the end of this month, contractor Jansen Infra B.V. will start implementing the prerequisite projects for the asylum seekers' center (azc) on behalf of the Municipality of Nuenen. These are traffic engineering measures to improve safety, accessibility and livability in the vicinity of the future azc, taking into account the increase in the number of (slow) traffic movements in the area. The municipality has agreed with the sounding board group for the reception of refugees, in which residents and associations from the vicinity of the future asylum seekers' center azc on the Pastoorsmast have participated, to carry out these civil projects before the arrival of the azc. Preparations are also being made for a sewer connection for the azc.

Planning work

Work will begin on Monday, April 28, 2025 and will take place over a scattered area around the Pastor's Mast and on Peelland Avenue. We expect the work to be completed by the end of June.

What do you notice?

During the work, homes and businesses will remain accessible. You may experience some inconvenience to reach or leave your property with a car or other motor vehicle. Please do not park any vehicles on or along the road. If work is being done in front of your driveway, the contractor will coordinate with you in advance. Although we make every effort to minimize inconvenience, you may experience some inconvenience from our work. We ask for your understanding.

A temporary detour route will be required during Phase 2 and Phase 3 work.
