Work on culverts and ditches

Starting in mid-June, the municipality will clear and clean culverts in ditches. Where necessary, ditches will also be dredged.

The work is taking place on the south side of Smits van Oyenlaan and Europalaan. We are also working along Boord and Soeterbeekseweg.

Culverts are pipes or passages under roads, paths, or driveways. They allow water to flow from one ditch to another. If a culvert becomes clogged with silt, leaves, or branches, water cannot drain properly. This can lead to flooding during heavy rain.

There may be temporary traffic disruptions during the work. We will do our best to minimize any inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding.
