Flooding, who do I call?
Unfortunately no white but a soaking wet Christmas season. The water boards and the Department of Public Works are doing what they can. Unfortunately, it is so wet that the usual measures do not always help. So there is a chance of flooding. This may continue to happen in the coming days, and certainly at the end of the week when more rain is predicted again.
Who do you call when?
If there is no acute danger and you have damage to your home or business, take action yourself or call a specialist company. You can recover any damage from your insurance company.
If there is a public nuisance, such as flooded roads due to blocked sewers or loose manhole covers, the infographic below shows who to call.
Acute danger?
Call 112 only in case of acute danger or a life-threatening situation. This way we avoid overloading 112.
