Below, the candidates introduce themselves to you.
Ruud Jansen

, 68 years old. Retired. Member of the village council since 2016.
Motivation: Keeping Nederwetten livable remains the top priority. To achieve this, Nederwetten will need to grow so that we can maintain its facilities. Over the past four years, an important step has been taken to make this growth possible. That is why, in the coming period, I want to commit myself to actually starting the construction of homes for first-time buyers, people looking to move up the property ladder, and the elderly. This growth must be achieved while preserving the village character of Nederwetten and in consultation with the residents of our village.
Eddy Odijk

73 years old
After retiring from Philips, he occasionally works as an innovation consultant and is active in Health client council), Probus Son en Breugel, and the Ars Longa art association. He has been living in Nederwetten for 35 years.
Motivation: Over the past four years, I have seen how valuable the village council is to Nederwetten. In the coming years, there will be many issues where it will be important for Nederwetten's voice to be heard by the municipality. I would like to contribute to this for another term, as I really enjoy working as part of a team.
Leo Evers

, 72 years old. Retired. Active in the village council for 12 years now.
Motivation: to be proactive and consult closely with the municipality to represent the interests of the residents.
Maintaining facilities and improving them where possible and necessary, preserving quality of life, and stimulating housing construction while preserving the green environment and village character.
Maarten van Rossum

My name is Maarten van Rossum and I have been happily living in Nederwetten for 12 years with my wife Myke and daughters Rosa, 16, and Suze, 11. I work for the Compass Group at the High Tech Campus Eindhoven and in Utrecht for Rabobank. As a contract manager, I deal with stakeholders and their various wishes and interests. This comes in handy in my role as a village council member.
Over the past four years, I have been a member of the village council and we have achieved a great deal. The coming years will be exciting in various areas, such as housing and quality of life, and I am keen to be part of that. The challenge is Health the right balance between quality of life and growth.
Joep Pernot

I live in Nederwetten with my wife and youngest son. I have lived in Nuenen for more than 50 years and have close ties with my immediate surroundings. As a self-employed professional, I work on the energy transition, particularly on the development of collective heating networks and heating companies. This combines my technical background (Technical University) and years of experience in business and public administration. As Alderman Nuenen, I have gained broad administrative experience and insight into political governance, so I know how to represent interests.
My motivation is to enhance the quality of life, well-being, and living in Nederwetten. To this end, I believe it is important that associations and initiatives, such as activities in the Koppelaar and on the sports fields, continue to exist and develop. I am happy to put my knowledge, experience, and network to good use in this regard through the Village Council for Nederwetten.
Nicole de Beer

, 60 years old ICT specialist at the Elisabeth-Tweesteden hospital, active in amateur music (organizing small-scale projects), board experience in various national associations. Has lived with Frans van de Wiel in Nederwetten for almost 20 years.
Motivation: I would like to use my administrative experience to ensure that the village council remains a fully-fledged discussion partner for the municipality. The aim is to keep Nederwetten livable and vibrant, while preserving its rural and green character.
Marloes de Brouwer

, 47 years old I work at ASML and was born and raised in our beautiful village, where I still enjoy living.
Motivation: I am once again making myself available for the Village Council 2026, just as I did in the previous term. I am committed to preserving our distinctive village character, especially now that new construction plans are in the pipeline. Our village must remain recognizable: green, peaceful, and livable for young and old alike.
The Village Council remains important in making our voice heard by the municipality. Women certainly belong there, which is why I am keen to contribute to the balance and diversity in our new Village Council.
Together, we keep Nederwetten special!
Eddy van Waalwijk van Doorn

, 61 Safety expert and entrepreneur in the installation sector, actively involved in the energy transition in the private and business markets. Since 2024, he has been living in Nederwetten with Judith and her children.
Motivation: I am eager to contribute to Nederwetten's growth while ensuring that it remains a safe and livable village with its distinctive characteristics. Where possible, I would like to contribute ideas to the energy transition, which is increasingly affecting our village. I am empathetic, pragmatic, and enjoy taking a proactive approach.
