A new green neighborhood with village charm

Molenerve phase 1 forms a new residential area on the north side of Opwettenseweg. The neighborhood is distinguished by its village character, sustainable building principles and plenty of space for greenery. Explicit attention has been paid to biodiversity, quality of life and future-proof living.

Built according to the Da Vinci House residential concept, the 30 homes are varied in design, with row and corner houses, semi-detached and detached houses. The living areas range from 79 to 204 m², making these owner-occupied homes attractive to both first-time buyers and families. The first homes are expected to be delivered in mid-September this year.

Da Vinci House residential concept

Da Vinci House is a particularly efficient method of developing and realizing a housing project. Within this modular concept, prefabricated elements are used wherever possible. Development and realization are in the hands of a Hurks team of specialists, working closely with permanent partners and the client.

Sustainable and nature-inclusive building

Molenerve phase 1 will be built according to the principles of nature-inclusive construction. This means that nature is given a full place in the residential area. For example, facades will be provided with climbing plants such as Clematis and Hop, and six lots will have a tree or multi-stemmed shrub in the front or back yard. In addition, the yard fences are designed green, contributing to the natural look of the neighborhood.

Rainwater is not simply drained away, but rather used intelligently. Residents can opt for a rain barrel, with which they can water their garden in a sustainable way. This not only saves the environment, but also reduces the water bill.

Energy efficient living

All homes will be equipped with solar panels and heat pumps and meet the stringent BENG 2=0 standard, meaning the home will generate all building-related energy itself. Residents are assured of a comfortable home and low energy costs.

"Reaching the highest point in Molenerve phase 1 marks an important milestone in the development of Nuenen-West. We are not only building homes here, but working on a sustainable and future-proof living environment where nature, quality of living and village character go hand in hand. It is great to see that starters and families will soon be able to live in a neighborhood that not only looks green, but really is green. Moreover, with six homes in the affordable segment, this project offers a valuable addition to the housing stock. " Alderman Patrick Kok, Municipality of Nuenen

"Today we are marking a special moment, not only for us as developers, but especially for the future residents. It is wonderful to reflect on this milestone together with them, the municipality and our building partners. We are building more than just houses here; we are creating a green, sustainable and livable neighborhood where people can really feel at home." Says Stefan de Ruijter, on behalf of VOF Nuenens Kwartier
