Launch national and regional adult health survey
How are the residents of southeastern Brabant doing? We can only find out with your help. Participate in the GGD Health Monitor and help the GGD and the municipalities work towards good health of the inhabitants. In the questionnaire we ask questions about your health, well-being, environment and lifestyle. Each participant has a chance to win a 50 euro gift card!
More than 65,000 randomly selected people in Southeast Brabant aged 18 and older will be approached to participate in this questionnaire survey. They can receive an invitation for the survey starting September 9. The questionnaire contains different topics, such as (mental) health, well-being, lifestyle, participation and living environment. The survey will run until early December.
Purpose of research
You are helping yourself and other residents of your community by filling out the questionnaire. The more people complete the questionnaire, the better we will know how to provide the best help. Together with municipalities, the GGD looks at how we can improve the health of residents. For example by organizing extra (social) activities in municipalities where many people are lonely. Or by organizing (sports) activities where people can get acquainted with different sports, in order to stimulate exercise. Thanks to the previous research we know where in the Netherlands inhabitants feel healthy and less healthy. This way municipalities know better where they can focus on. The results of the research will be published in 2025.
Participation
CBS randomly selects individuals who are invited to participate in the GGD Health Monitor 2024. They are a good reflection of the population. This group of residents receives an invitation to complete a questionnaire. This can be done online or in writing. Persons who are not selected cannot participate in this survey.
Participation is voluntary. GGD Brabant-Zuidoost does appreciate your participation. Participants' data will be treated and processed in the strictest confidence. More information on how we handle participant privacy can be found in our privacy statement.
Collaboration
GGD Brabant-Zuidoost cooperates with the other GGDs, the municipality of Utrecht, the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), GGD GHOR Nederland and the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). In this way, the survey provides information about the health of the whole of the Netherlands. Ipsos I&O collects the data on behalf of these parties.
