Housing performance agreements signed
On Wednesday, March 29, the municipality of Nuenen, housing corporations Helpt Elkander, Wooninc. and Woonzorg Nederland, and tenant organizations signed the performance agreements 2023-2027. The performance agreements are about how the corporations and municipality together ensure sufficient, affordable and sustainable social housing.
More affordable rental housing
As in previous years, the focus is on adding social rental housing in Nuenen, thus contributing to the national goal of building more affordable housing. Last year, Wooninc. took over all 216 social housing units from Woonbedrijf in Nuenen. Wooninc. will therefore be more actively involved in Nuenen in the coming years, including in the area of new construction.
Wider range
In addition to agreements on social rental housing, there are also agreements on exploring possibilities for adding middle rental housing in Nuenen. The municipality is examining how to fulfill the task of affordable owner-occupied housing and is looking at the possibilities for adding flex housing.
Preservation
Because inflation is high and energy prices have risen substantially, making homes more sustainable is important to reduce housing costs. To make this increase in sustainability possible, housing corporations will ensure that homes with an energy label E, F, or G will be made more sustainable before 2029. They will also make agreements on sustainability requirements for new homes.
