Parent Cafe: The adolescent brain

On June 3, Nuenen College is hosting a parent café on the adolescent brain from 7:30 to 9 p.m. This event is intended for parents of Nuenens College students and parents from Nuenen. The location is the Nuenens College.

Aletta Smits has been giving presentations on the wonderful adolescents we deal with every day since 2009. Aletta actually wanted to be a comedian, but studied English. She taught for a long time at several high schools and at the teacher training college of Leiden University. Besides her lectures, she works as a researcher human-AI interaction and as a lecturer at the Hogeschool Utrecht.

The adolescent brain - a manual is an upbeat presentation about how the average adolescent brain works and what adults need to know about it. About plans; about when they sleep; about their disarming honesty and their fantastic sense of humor.
