Opwettenseweg Temporarily Closed Due to Work on Cables and Pipes
From August 24 until approximately mid-October 2026, a section of Opwettenseweg will be closed to vehicular traffic. This applies to the section between Vorsterdijk and Laan door de Panakkers. The construction work is part of the Nuenen-West project by project developer BPD.
Utility work is being carried out on cables and pipes by KPN, Enexis, Brabant Water, and others. The temporary closure is necessary to ensure that this work can be carried out safely.
Pedestrians and cyclists can continue to use the road. A detour route will be posted for motorists. Businesses in the area will remain accessible. Do you live on the closed section of Opwettenseweg? If so, your home will remain accessible on foot, but you will temporarily be unable to reach it by car.
The utility companies involved will notify local residents separately about the work.
