05 Long-Term Agenda (LTA) for the Agenda Committee, September 17, 2026
The Executive Board has decided to adopt the Long-Term Agenda (LTA) for the Agenda Committee meeting on September 17, 2026.
After the LTA is discussed by the Agenda Committee, it will be finalized. The final version of the LTA will be sent to the council via the Municipal Clerk’s Office and published on the municipal website.
06 Public Interest Decision for Sports and Multifunctional Facilities
Through a public interest resolution, the city council formally designates the activities of “facilitating and operating sports and multifunctional facilities” as activities carried out in the public interest, thereby legally ensuring the social function, accessibility, continuity, and affordability of sports and multifunctional facilities for residents, users, and community organizations.
The council proposal titled “Public Interest Decision on Sports and Multifunctional Facilities” is being submitted to the council for a decision.
07 Request for Comments on the Statement of Principles for the Rural Area Environmental Program
A resident has asked questions about the Statement of Principles for the Rural Areas Program and how the issue of water is addressed in the program.
The council has decided to answer the questions in a letter.
08 Written Questions - Peellandlaan and Hemelse Pad Intersection
In accordance with Article 46 of the Rules of Procedure of the Municipality of Nuenen and Surrounding Areas, M. Lunenburg (PRO) has submitted written questions to the Municipal Executive. Due to the summer recess, the 30-day deadline for responding to the questions was not met. The questions concern the Peellandlaan–Hemelse Pad intersection.
The council has decided to respond to the written questions from Ms. M. Lunenburg (PRO) in a letter.
09 Council Information Letter: Parking Lot Entrances and Exits and the Europalaan–Kapperdoesweg Intersection
At the council’s request, the former executive board met with the owner of the Coppelmans Garden Center to discuss the garden center’s entrances and exits, the expanded parking lot, and the Europalaan–Kapperdoesweg intersection. The discussions revealed that the expansion of the parking lot has led to improved traffic flow and that there is currently no reason to modify the entrances and exits. Coppelmans agrees with the proposed design for the intersection.
The executive board has decided to inform the council of the results of the consultation with Coppelmans Garden Center via a council information letter.
10 Housing Policy for the Municipality of Nuenen, Gerwen, and Nederwetten: 2026 and Beyond
The 2015 housing policy is no longer in line with the law or current practice. The policy now before us has been completely revised, taking the wishes of all stakeholders into careful consideration. The executive committee is asked to approve the proposed housing policy and the temporary, customized solution and to submit them to the council for a decision.
The college decided:
1. To submit the 2026 Accommodation Policy for the municipalities of Nuenen, Gerwen, and Nederwetten, available at
, to the municipal council for a decision.
2. To submit the council proposal “Decision in the Public Interest Regarding Sports and Multifunctional Facilities,” available at
, to the municipal council for a decision. 3. To incorporate the financial implications of this policy into the existing 2027 budget.
4. To approve temporary, customized agreements for a maximum of four years for clubs that face financial difficulties due to the new rates; to provide these as one-time subsidies pursuant to Article 4:23, paragraph 3, subparagraph d, of the General Administrative Law Act; and to account for them through interim reports.
5. To submit the council proposal “Adoption of the Facilities Policy for the Municipalities of Nuenen, Gerwen, and Nederwetten for 2026 and Beyond” to the municipal council for a decision.

The executive board has decided to inform the council of the current status of the asylum seekers' center through a council briefing letter.
12 Council Information Letter: Developments in Eeneind West
The Executive Board has decided to inform the City Council, via a council briefing letter, about new developments in the private-law and public-law proceedings concerning the Eeneind West case.
