Policy rules Participation Act (in balance) 2026
On January 1, 2026, the amended Participation Act came into force. The old Participation Act from 2015 was generally considered too rigid and complex. With an amendment, the "Participation Act in Balance," the cabinet is creating more room for customization, trust, and simpler procedures. Parts of the amended Act require municipalities to develop further policy details. We have established policy for some topics with effect from January 1, 2026. For other topics, policy may be established with effect from January 1, 2027. The regulations for the Participation Act do not need to be amended for the time being.
The council has decided to adopt the Policy Rules on Income, Means Test Participation Act, Ioaw Municipality of Nuenen c.a. 2026 and the Policy Rules on Reintegration Participation Act Municipality of Nuenen c.a. 2026.
The council has also decided to adopt the council information letter.
New decision on application for temporary environmental permit for dog walking services
In its ruling of December 12, 2025, the court upheld the appeal and revoked the permit for the temporary use of dog walking services. The court instructed the council to make a new decision on the application within twelve weeks of the ruling being sent, taking the ruling into account.
The council has decided to reject the application for an environmental permit.
