Unintentionally shared data

Documents have been circulated for the hearing of the appeals committee regarding the temporary asylum seekers' center. Information about the appellants has been shared in one of the documents. No names or other personal details were mentioned in the document, only addresses. Addresses can be indirectly traced back to individuals, which is why this is considered a data breach. It only concerns addresses, but due to the large number of addresses involved, we are reporting this to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. We also request that the recipients of the document delete it and refrain from sharing it with others.

We have now tightened up the process for sending documents to the appeals committee so that this cannot happen again in the future.
