Temporary Emergency Energy Fund
The Emergency Energy Fund is there for your household if your income is low and you have to pay a lot for energy. The fund provides support for part of your bill(s) for gas, electricity and heat. For this, we look at how much you earn and how high your energy bill is.
You can receive support for 6 months to pay the energy bill.
Who can apply for it?
- Your household has an income of up to 200% of the social minimum.
This means that the gross monthly income is less than €3,400.00- (single) or €4,740.00- (cohabitating). It also includes 8% vacation allowance. - Your household energy costs exceed 8 to 10 percent of your gross income per month.

What do you need for the application?
Please have the following information handy so that you can make the request immediately as soon as possible.
- an e-mail address and phone number
- All persons in your household over the age of 18 with income
- all persons in the household log in with their own DigiD
(a DigiD account with SMS verification) - energy bill(s) in the name of a person in the household*
- the amount you paid for energy last month
- the customer number/administration number of the organization to whom you pay your utility bill
*Some households have multiple energy contracts. Then you pay to multiple organizations such as a landlord, an energy supplier or a VVE. Collect all details of all contracts. You may have a contract for gas, electricity, district heating, heat, hot water or block connection.
