New guide to schemes for low-income people
Alderman Niels Wouters presented the first copy of the new guide to schemes for low-income people to Karlijn Tuithof, representative of the "Nuenenaren voor Nuenenaren" Christmas suit campaign, on Nov. 26 at City Hall.
The guide is added to Christmas packages for people who are struggling financially, especially in these expensive times.
The guide lists 28 schemes that can help low-income people. The schemes cover financial help, allowances, discounts, support for children, and free or cheaper food, items and transportation.
Each scheme is clearly explained: what it is, who it is for, what the Requirements are and where to go for advice and applications.
The guide is free and available at various locations, including City Hall, the Center for Social Participation (CMD) on the Mountain, the library, The Monastery Temporalis and elementary schools.
The latest version of the schemes for low-income people can also be found on the municipality's website at: www.nuenen.nl/regelingen-laag-inkomen.
