Drone measurements in A270 area
Between Thursday, May 22 and Wednesday, May 28, surveying measurements with drones will be carried out in the vicinity of the A270 in Nuenen. The measurements are necessary to accurately Map the current situation of the green areas and the roads - including the freeway. This data is in turn needed in preparation for the modifications to the noise barrier along the A270. Because the area is largely difficult to reach for proper measurement, a drone will be used. The measurements will be done by Eyefly BV.
Measurements with drone
A so-called Digital Terrain Model (DTM) is created with the drone. This model visualizes the current situation including the ground level under the vegetation including the vegetation itself and all objects around and on the roads. The Map below shows the area where the drone will be active (indicated in blue) and the area of interest for the measurement (indicated in red).

The drone targets only the area to be surveyed and emphatically not personal property or other sensitive information.
Soundproofing facility
Increasing traffic is worsening the traffic livability and accessibility in Nuenen. We don't want that to happen. That is why the municipality, together with the province of North Brabant, conducted research in the study "Verkeersleefbaarheid en bereikbaarheid Bundelroutes Nuenen. The result was a coherent package of measures adopted by the municipal council. This Preferred Alternative (VKA) Bundelroutes consists of 10 cohesive projects. One of the first projects is a noise barrier along the A270 (section between Smits van Oyenlaan and Geldropsedijk on the north side of the A270). We are doing this because it provides a great local improvement in the quality of life (noise). There are various possibilities for such a noise barrier, about which we will start discussions with interested parties next summer. For this we do want to have a clear picture of the existing situation.
