Madeleine van Toorenburg appointed acting mayor

Last night, after consulting with a delegation of the city council and the College of Mayor and Aldermen, the King's Commissioner swore in Madeleine van Toorenburg as acting mayor of Nuenen. She will take over the chain of office from Maarten Houben on February 2.

Madeleine van Toorenburg served in various positions in the judiciary. From 2007 to 2021, she was a member of the House of Representatives for the CDA. In 2021, she was elected deputy in the province of Limburg with the portfolio of social domain, sports, culture, sports and supervision and enforcement. She is a member of the Upper House.
