Nuenen Fair, July 10–14

The fair is coming to Nuenen. The fair will be set up around the park and will run from Friday afternoon, July 10, through Tuesday, July 14. On Saturday evening, July 11, the Sint Antoniusschut Eeneind-Opwetten will, in keeping with tradition, officially “announce the fair” to Mayor Van Genugten together with the Sint Annagilde Nuenen-Dorp. You are cordially invited to attend this event at the town hall at Papenvoort 15 at 7:00 p.m.

Friday, July 10:
1:00 p.m.: Fair opens

Saturday, July 11:
1:00 p.m. Fair opens
7:00 p.m. This year, the Sint Antoniusschut Eeneind-Opwetten is organizing the traditional opening ceremony of the fair at the town hall at Papenvoort 15. After the announcement by the guild captain, the guild performs a flag-waving salute to the civil authorities, and following a brief address by the mayor, the procession sets off for the fairgrounds. This is followed by a tour of the fair.

On Monday, July 13, and Tuesday, July 14, Clown Des Alles will bethere from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Traffic measures during the carnival

Due to the setup and takedown of the attractions, several roads in the city center will be closed to all traffic from Tuesday, July 7, through Wednesday, July 15.

The closed area concerns:

  • Park, between St. Clement's Church and Park Street;
  • Park, between the Mountain and Boord Road;
  • Park, between St. Clemens Church and Vincent van Gogh Street/Berg.

Weekly market

From July 13 through August 16, there will be no market at the kiosk in the town center due to the summer break.
Starting Monday, August 17, the market will resume at the kiosk.
