Saving energy with white goods scheme for low-income residents

The municipality of Nuenen is helping residents with a €500 gift card. This gift card offers €500 off when you buy an energy-efficient refrigerator, freezer, washing machine or dishwasher. Old appliances often use a lot of energy. Your new appliance will provide years of reduced energy consumption.

Who is the white goods scheme for?

If you qualify for this scheme, you will have received a letter from the municipality of Nuenen. These are households with an income below 120% of the social assistance standard and/or households that have previously received the one-time energy allowance.

How do I apply for the gift card?

If you have received a letter, you have until September to apply for your gift card online. So don't wait too long to apply. The gift card is valid for 62 days from the date of issue. On the website of regional energy counter you can apply for a gift card, redeem it and check the amount. The exact validity date is mentioned in the letter sent to you. After that, the credit on the Map is unusable and no claim can be made for any monetary compensation.

Waiting list

Residents who received the letter and can no longer apply for a Map will automatically be placed on the waiting list. We monitor whether the gift cards are spent within 62 days. If not, gift cards will become available again. In the interim, the municipality takes care to provide everyone on the waiting list with a Map . Should a Map be available at any time, the next person on the list will receive the Map at home.

I did not receive the letter

Residents who have not received a notice, but believe they are entitled to the white goods scheme, can apply using the complaint form. Please include a copy of the most recent proof of income, e.g. salary, pension or benefit statement for the past 2 months.
