Youth fund for sports and culture for Nuenen children

The Youth Fund Sport & Culture in Nuenen is celebrating a milestone of success. The fund has been in existence for six months and has achieved good results. The Youth Fund got off the ground in Nuenen thanks to the initiative and financial support of the Round Table Nuenen, the municipality of Nuenen and the Youth Fund Sport & Culture.

At a time when many young Brabanders are finding that their parents are struggling to make ends meet financially, the Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur offers a helping hand This initiative has already helped 3 families who otherwise would have had trouble getting their children to participate in sports and cultural activities. Currently, 2 more interviews are scheduled. The Youth Fund is proving to be a valuable tool for providing opportunities for children and youth, regardless of their financial background.

How does the Youth Fund work?

The Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur Brabant pays the contribution or tuition fees for children and young people from 0 to 18 years of age from families where there is not enough money for sports or arts and culture. An intermediary applies for the contribution on behalf of the parents. In Nuenen, Stan Hendriks (Neighborhood Sports Coach) and Claudia Sweegers (Combination Functionary) are the intermediaries. They can be reached at actiefnuenen@levgroep.nl. Within three weeks after the application the parents will hear whether the application has been approved and they can register their child(ren). The contribution or lesson fee goes directly to the club or the instructor. Per child, €450 is available annually.
