Inauguration of the Municipal Council of Nuenen, Gerwen, and Nederwetten for the 2026–2030 term

On Wednesday, April 1, the new city council for the 2026–2030 term was sworn in. Council members are appointed for four years. Elections are held every four years, and a new city council is elected.

New City Council

On April 1, 2026, the new city council was sworn in. During this special council meeting, the 19 elected council members took the oath or pledge before Mayor Freek van Genugten. In doing so, they pledged, among other things, to faithfully perform their duties, to abide by the law, and to refrain from any actions that could jeopardize their role as representatives of the people.
