Gold medal of honor for Piet Bartholomeus
Mr. Piet Bartholomeus (86 years old) today received the golden medal of honor of the municipality of Nuenen from the hands of Deputy Mayor Sandor Löwik. Mr. Bartholomeus has a long record of service as an administrator with unpaid social involvement for the Nuenen community, such as for Vereniging Het Klooster, Parochie Heilig Kruis Nuenen, OnsNet Nuenen and various other organizations. For more than 50 years he held an accumulation of important positions:
- 2019 - 2025: President Association The Monastery
- 2021 - 2024: Chairman Board St. Public Cemetery Oude Landen
- 2006 - 2018: Chairman of the Participation Council Ons Net Nuenen.
- 2005 - 2015: Chairman of member council Ons Net Nuenen
- 1999 - 2004: Secretary Overleg Nuenen Ouderenorganisaties (ONO).
- 2012 - 2020: Chairman WMO Council Nuenen
- 2003 - present: Board member of the Amai a pa Banda Foundation
- 2006 - 2010: Member of the supervisory board of St Tradinova (merged into Wooninc.).
- 2006 - 2008: Vice president Pastoral Unit Holy Cross Nuenen
- 1996 - 2006: Vice president Parish Council Parish of Nuenen
- 1975 - 1994: President/treasurer Foundation for Educational Interests Nuenen
From 1967 to 2000, he was a legal officer/Head of Legal Affairs at Rabobank Netherlands in Eindhoven. He continued to work for the Rabobank organization until 2010. In 2009 he received a royal decoration in the degree of Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau and in 2008 the Papal decoration in the Order of St. Silvester. He has not previously received a municipal medal of honor.
