Municipal secretary Marike Arents has announced that she will leave the municipality of Nuenen. As of June 15, 2024, she will start as Director of Urban Management at the municipality of 's-Hertogenbosch. 

Marike Arents: "I consciously made the transition from municipal secretary to this director position. I have experienced my need to achieve results together with colleagues, in the interplay of policy and implementation. In recent years, my focus as an advisor was mainly on the college. A nice role. And yet I missed the official interaction. I want to be in the middle of that again and that is possible with the position in Den Bosch."

In the near future, the recruitment process for a new town clerk will begin. Since it will undoubtedly take some time before the new secretary can start work, an interim town clerk will be appointed for the interim period. This will give us the space to go through a careful process.
