Municipality of Nuenen thanks all volunteers
In 2025, the municipality of Nuenen moved away from the traditional volunteer award and youth ribbon during the New Year's reception. The new, broad way of thanking proved to be a great success. Therefore, we will continue this approach in 2026.
Attention to all volunteers on Saturday, March 7, 2026
Following Volunteer Week (Friday, Feb. 28 through Saturday, March 8, 2026), all volunteers will receive a gift on Saturday, March 7, 2026. We are doing this in cooperation with the downtown merchants.
Sign up your volunteers
Not all volunteer initiatives are known to the municipality. The municipality of Nuenen therefore asks organizations to register their volunteers before February 1, 2026.
Send an e-mail to vrijwilligerssteunpunt@levgroep.nl with:
- The name of your organization.
- What your organization does.
- The number of volunteers.
You will receive a letter with all the practical information in December 2025, and more information will also follow via our website and social channels.
Who is a volunteer?
Someone who performs unpaid and uncommitted work for the benefit of a general or particular social interest, not replacing paid work.

- What your organization does.
- The number of volunteers at your organization.
Are you not a member of an organization, but you do volunteer work? Then sign up too!
Who is a volunteer?
- Someone committed to a general or social cause.
- Someone who does not make a profit.
- Someone who does not replace gainful employment.
