Congratulations on your wedding plans. How exciting!

As a Dutch language and literature major, I love playing with words and stories—and with what emerges when you listen just a little longer, beyond the first answer. 

For me, that’s the best part: really getting to know people. Telling their story with a mix of warmth and humor. Discovering who you are together and why this particular person is the one you want to officially say “I do” to. 

My babsen career started in the middle of the country: trained as a wedding officiant in Utrecht, sworn in Amersfoort and working for the municipality of Baarn. A great time, but I missed my Brabant roots. 

I’ve been a marriage officiant in Nuenen since January 2022. Back home in Son en Breugel, I enjoy the friendly atmosphere of Son with “my guys” (Hein and our kids, Jochem, Sep, and Tigo). But what I love most of all is celebrating love together, in whatever form it takes.
