The stream valley of the Kleine Dommel and the Dommel between the A67 in Geldrop and the Planetenlaan Son en Breugel is a beautiful area where nature, recreation and cultural history come together. Brabants Landschap, Staatsbosbeheer, Waterschap De Dommel and the municipalities of Nuenen, Eindhoven, Son en Breugel and Geldrop-Mierlo have joined forces to realize this nature development. The goal is to connect existing nature areas by arranging and managing intervening agricultural land as nature. This will create a more robust, better functioning nature network.

Hydrological research for Dommeldal from the Paint will take place in the next two weeks. Employees of the Bosgroep Zuid Nederland will carry out drilling on plots of land belonging to the municipality of Nuenen within the Nature Network Brabant to determine the location of the clay layers. With this info, advice can then be given on hydrological measures to be taken to realize the desired nature.
